Kalivent

  • דוא״ל: hello@kalivent.com.

Google.

Accessibility statement

This is an interim statement. The service has not yet had an external accessibility audit; after the audit we will complete this statement, and the date below will change.

Last updated: 22 October 2026.

Accessibility at Kalivent

We want everyone to be able to use Kalivent: guests who open an event's gallery from a link, organisers who run their event in Manage, and visitors to kalivent.com. This statement covers all of them.

We are working for the service to meet Israeli Standard 5568, which is based on the WCAG 2.0 guidelines, at level AA, as Israel's accessibility regulations require. Until an accessibility audit confirms it, we do not claim that the service meets the standard.

If the Hebrew and the English texts differ, the Hebrew text prevails.

Accessibility coordinator

  • Accessibility coordinator: Yuval Suskin.
  • Email: hello@kalivent.com.
  • We will reply within 3 working days.

Did something get in your way? Write to the accessibility coordinator. Tell us which page it happened on, what you were trying to do, and which device, browser and assistive technology you use.

What we have done so far

  • The service is written in Hebrew, right to left, and every page declares its language and direction, so that screen readers read it correctly.
  • We built buttons, links, menus and dialogs so that they also work from a keyboard, and the control that has the focus is marked. A dialog that opens over the page keeps the focus inside it, and the Escape key closes it.
  • Buttons that show only an icon have a name that screen readers read out. Images that are only decoration are hidden from screen readers, and an event's photos and videos are named by when they were taken or by the video's length.
  • Every field of the form for leaving your details has a label, and an error message appears next to its field and is read out with it.
  • Text colours were chosen so that their contrast with the background reaches at least level AA, and text shown over photos was measured too.
  • When the device is set to reduce motion, animations and transitions stop or are shortened. On the home page there is a way to pause the photos and words that move by themselves.
  • We built buttons and controls so that on a phone each is at least 44 pixels on each side, except as listed below. We measure this on a phone in the guests' pages.
  • The site does not block zooming the page in the browser or on the phone.
  • To search for your photos by a photo, you can take one with the camera or choose a photo from your phone. You can also look through the whole gallery without searching.
  • Before a change to the code goes live, the interface's components and its main pages are checked with an automated accessibility tool, on a computer and on a phone.

What is not accessible yet

These are the limitations we know of:

  • The photos and videos that organisers and guests upload come with no text description of what they show, and videos have no captions.
  • In the view of a single photo, the small photos in the strip beside it are smaller than 44 pixels. You can also move between photos by swiping, and on a computer with the previous and next buttons and the arrow keys.
  • Signing in to Manage goes through Google's sign-in page, whose accessibility is Google's responsibility.
  • The service is in Hebrew only. This statement, the privacy policy and the terms of use are also in English.

Our checks so far are automated, and they do not find every barrier. There may be accessibility problems we have not found yet. If you meet one, we want to know.

Accessibility audit

The service has not yet had an external accessibility audit, so this statement has no audit date. After the audit we will write here the date the service was checked and the level of conformance found.
